[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-02-26 Summary: THE BEST ... I simply love Komachi knives. At present I own four, each has its own purpose and should be used for such. Sharp and seemly they remain so, easy to hold and use. Great price for a fabulous product, no need to pay more. ...more

Birds of the Backyard: Winter Into Spring
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2005-04-08 Summary: Good bird info, great kid video! ... My son went through a big bird craze between ages 2 and 3 and this was his favorite video, oddly enough! He still enjoys it, and we both retain a lot of information from it after watching/overhearing it the usual kazillion times. It's a soothing video, not dry, with a natural flow and narrative. Lots of beautiful footage of common backyard birds of the northern USA, such as chickadees, robins, nuthatches, purple finches, cardinals, mourning doves, woodpeckers. It's also very well designed to allow you to absorb information ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2005-07-10 Summary: A little short on details ... I enjoyed this video very much, but I found it lacking in one major respect: it gives little or no information on detecting or differentiating between various birds, or even between males and females of a particular species. The video instead gives advice on several bird feeders and types of seed to use, depending on the type of bird you want to attract, as well as good locations for the feeders in your backyard. The program is 60 minutes, with the 2nd half free of narration, so you can watch and listen to the birds, ...more

[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-11-22 Summary: Fun for the Entire Family ... A coworker told me about Insect Lore and the Live Butterfly Garden and how much her family enjoyed it. She highly recommended it, so I bought a kit for my kids. My entire family enjoyed the experience. Watching the transformation is amazing! Although we missed all the butterflies emerge, it was so much fun to let them go. My kids were thrilled that they stayed on their hands and flapped their wings before flying away. I have some amazing pictures we'll treasure. About two months after I bought my kit from Amazon, WalMart ...more

[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2006-08-24 Summary: a great book out of a great series - a review by Eli (age 7) ... This book is really out of this world. I have been hooked on the magic school bus series. I can't wait to read more books in the series. The inside the human body book is full with very interesting facts and I learned so much from reading it. Arnold doesn't know where the bus is and is trying to find it. He doesn't even know that it is actually inside him. Then Arnold sneezes and finds the bus right next to him.
